We can learn a lot about the story of our town by studying its buildings.
By focusing on the architecture, occupants and functions of five key structures along Thame High Street, we start to understand how Thame developed as a market town. We can gain an insight into the families living and working in Thame, and we can see how the development of Thame has been influenced by national events such as the Civil War, agricultural reform and political change.
